Temple of the Feathered Serpent

Long ago, this was the actual layout, but now it can be easily missed by tired tourists

With his girlfriend looking on, he ended up being an instant hit with the girls of this Mexican school

Looking around the corner of the first small pyramid (see graphic at top) I was blown away by what I saw.

Fully painted in its day and complete, it had to be dazzling. Note the seashells.

They were closing as I walked in, and with the janitor cleaning, I managed two pictures - no flash.

 

 

I ate this stuff for a week straight, when I was in Tulum, but that is much later.
